The NOVA Group of Companies, which includes Nova Poshta, has established a company called Nova Energy to engage in energy generation, including solar and gas-generated electricity.
As co-founder of the Nova Group, Volodymyr Popereshniuk, shared on Facebook, at the beginning of the major conflict when a fuel crisis emerged in the market, they realized the need to strengthen the fuel security and autonomy of the company. At that time, Nova began acquiring tanker trucks, tanks, fuel storage facilities, and refueling complexes. Currently, 60% of the fuel we need is provided by our own resources.
By the end of 2022, when Russian forces began targeting the country's energy infrastructure, the company completely equipped its entire network of branches and sorting centers with generators.
"With the recent attacks on electricity generation by the Russians, we realized the need to enhance our energy self-sufficiency," says Volodymyr Popereshniuk.
Therefore, the NOVA Group decided to establish a separate company for regular energy generation — Nova Energy.
In January 2024, the group of companies "Nova Poshta" removed the word "poshta" from its name and retained NOVA.
"We are much more than just mail, which is why we are removing this word from the name of the group of companies and leaving it broad, barrier-free — NOVA," explained the company at the time.
Nova Poshta has been operating in the Ukrainian market since 2001. Over this time, the company has created new companies and products: NovaPay, Nova Digital, and Nova Global. In addition to delivery services, Nova Poshta offers fulfillment services, freight transportation, and operates in Europe.
