In the Odessa region, an international human trafficking network has been dismantled. The 'scheme' was organized by a local resident.
This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
According to State Border Guard, it all started with the search for women for work abroad. After the victims arrived in Romania, the organizer of the 'scheme' confiscated their Ukrainian documents, restricted their movement, and coerced them into cooperation.
The perpetrator, in particular, forced the victims to apply for social assistance in Romania, after which she also confiscated it.
"The schemer was apprehended by border guards and police, and she has been informed of the suspicion," the State Border Guard reported.
