Due to the security situation in the Sumy region, authorities have made the decision to forcibly evacuate children with their families from 101 settlements.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry for Reintegration of the Occupied Territories of Ukraine.

"Due to the security situation, a decision has been made for the mandatory evacuation of children with their families from a number of settlements in the Sumy region," the statement says.

It is noted that the decision was unanimously supported by members of the Coordination Staff for Mandatory Evacuation of the Population under Martial Law.

The evacuation involves the forced relocation of 497 children from 101 settlements in the Sumy region (90 settlements in the Sumy district and 11 settlements in the Konotop district).

Recall that in August, due to constant Russian attacks in the Sumy region, a priority evacuation of the population was announced from 183 settlements belonging to 15 territorial communities. By the end of summer, more than 20,000 people had been evacuated, including nearly 2,500 children.
