In the Swedish parliament, there have been calls to provide state guarantees to the Swedish defense industry to increase direct production of ammunition for Ukraine.
Magdalena Andersson, a member of the Riksdag and the leader of the Social Democratic Workers' Party, made this statement, as reported by Dagens Nyheter.
"It's time to establish direct production of ammunition for Ukraine. This will require state guarantees at the initial stage," she stated.
According to Andersson, these guarantees should extend to the post-war period as well.
"There must be guarantees so that we can quickly get to work. We also want the Northern region to be strengthened, as it will remain an important geopolitical arena for a long time," Andersson emphasized.
She also underscored the need for a substantial increase in arms production throughout the EU.
