Russian troops continue to advance in the urban area of Toretsk along Central Street, and heavy dynamic battles are ongoing in the city.
This was reported in a TV broadcast by the spokesperson of the Joint Task Force Luhansk, Anastasia Bobovnikova.
"The situation remains unchanged—we are holding back the enemy on Central Street. However, the fighting in the city is very dynamic. In some areas, they manage to infiltrate, and we destroy and push them back; in other areas, they might capture some entrance, and we push them back as well. So, the situation changes significantly literally within hours," Bobovnikova noted.
According to her, the enemy is also attempting to storm Ukrainian forces in the areas of Chasiv Yar, Toretsk, New York, and the Severodonetsk direction.
Speaking about the Russia's tactics, the spokesperson mentioned that the invaders employ small group tactics and rarely use equipment.
"They mainly try to assault in small groups of 3, 4, or 5 individuals, who suffer significant losses. Some flee, some retreat, and they storm us again and again," the spokesperson emphasized, adding that primarily regular infantry units, special forces, and artillery of the Russian army are fighting against the Defense Forces.
