In the war in Ukraine, another volunteer from Georgia has died. This makes a total of 26 Georgian volunteers who have lost their lives in Ukraine.

"Tengiz Khaniya, another Georgian fighter, has died in Ukraine. Khaniya, a displaced person from Abkhazia, was a participant in the Abkhazian and August wars of 2008. He was a former employee of the Intelligence Department of the Georgian Ministry of Defense and the Second Department of Special Purpose of the Ministry of Internal Affairs," the article states.
According to journalists, the Georgian citizen fought in Ukraine from the first day of the war and was wounded twice during this period. However, after recovering, he returned to the front line both times.
"He fought on the Avdiivka - Maryinka front as part of the Azov Battalion. He was killed days ago under Russian rocket fire. Due to constant fighting, it was not possible to evacuate the fighter's body from the battlefield.
As clarified by the media, 62 Georgian volunteers who fought on the side of Ukraine have already been killed in Ukraine since the beginning of Russia's large-scale invasion of the country.
