The Ukrainian administration has begun clearing lands of the remnants of equipment left by Russian army, according to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
As part of the implementation of the Cabinet of Ministers' directive, the Ministry of Defense is already working on clearing territories. For this purpose, the remnants of destroyed enemy equipment are being collected and grouped on approximately 80 sites in Ukraine.
"Before experts from the Ministry of Defense arrive at these sites, explosive ordnance disposal experts inspect them. The further fate of the remnants of the equipment depends on its condition," the press service writes.
During the inspection of the remnants, consultants check:
- Whether the equipment can serve as a donor for spare parts for the Ukrainian Armed Forces' equipment.
- Whether it can become a museum exhibit or part of exhibitions.
- Whether it can be disposed of as "scrap metal" according to established procedures.
