On the Tendra Spit in the northern part of the Black Sea, special forces from the 'Artan' active action unit and the Maritime Center of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine destroyed enemy equipment, personnel, and fortifications on August 6, 2024.

'At night, a landing group landed on the Tendra Spit and destroyed enemy armored vehicles, including an MT-LB, an enemy electronic warfare system, and demolished Russian fortifications,' the statement reads. During the battle, Russian invaders suffered losses among their personnel—the exact number is being clarified.
As noted by the Main Intelligence Directorate, after completing the task, including its secret part, the military intelligence operatives withdrew without losses.
'This is not the first successful active operation by the special forces of the Main Intelligence Directorate on the temporarily occupied Tendra Spit. These actions are just part of a large-scale plan by the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine, which is ongoing,' emphasized the Main Intelligence Directorate.
The Tendrivska Spit is a narrow island about 65 km long and up to 1.8 km wide, located in the northern part of the Black Sea, near Ukrainian Crimea.
