On Thursday, September 8, a meeting of the Ukrainian part of the Ukrainian-Polish Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation was held under the chairmanship of Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine.

The parties discussed the main prospective directions of Ukrainian-Polish cooperation within the framework of the preparation of the Eighth joint meeting of the bilateral Commission to be held on September 22 in the Polish city of Rzeszów.

"Ukraine is interested in the further development of bilateral cooperation, because according to the results of 2021, Poland ranks first among Ukraine's trade partners within the EU. We strive to continue to use the joint potential to expand areas of cooperation and strengthen bilateral relations," the Ukrainian official said.

The participants of the meeting determined the format of further cooperation between the countries. In particular, in the areas of trade and investment, customs cooperation, transport and infrastructure, post-war reconstruction of Ukraine, agriculture, migration, health care, humanitarian aid, etc.
