The leaders of the G7 countries, under the presidency of Italy, will hold their first summit in this country on February 24, coinciding with the second anniversary of Russia's large-scale invasion of Ukraine.
This was reported by ANSA.
According to sources from the Italian national news agency in the country's government, the upcoming meeting of the Group of Seven will take place virtually.
Thus, the corresponding summit of the international club of governments from the seven most developed countries in the world (USA, Japan, Germany, UK, France, Italy, Canada) will be conducted via video conference, just like on the first anniversary of Russia's large-scale military aggression against Ukraine.
It is worth noting that last year, on February 24, the virtual G7 meeting was held with the participation of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who spoke online.
