The mayor of Cannes, David Lisnard, paid an official visit to the Kyiv region. They met and accompanied the foreign delegation in the Kyiv region.
David Lisnar inspected the destruction of high-rise buildings by the Russian invaders in Borodyanka and Irpin. He saw the "cemetery" of destroyed cars in Irpin and visited the destroyed Romaniv bridge, which became the place of the evacuation of civilians during the occupation. He also examined the graffiti of the British street artist Banksy on a damaged building near the "Irpinski Lypky" housing complex and the damaged monument to Taras Shevchenko in Borodyanka.
Among other things, the mayor of Cannes visited the Church of the Holy Apostle Andrew the First-Called in Bucha. He was impressed by the stories about the mass burials near the church and the photo exhibition inspection of the Kyiv region's tragic events.
During his visit, David Lisnard talked with representatives of territorial communities about the destroyed infrastructure of settlements, reconstruction processes, and international support of partner cities. He asked about the needs of the territorial communities and the help that must be provided to restore the destroyed as soon as possible.
