Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov, together with Minister for Strategic Industries Olexander Kamishin, has signed a Framework Agreement with the British government on cooperation in the field of defense materials.
The agreement, signed by the British State Minister for Trade Policy Greg Hands during the Conference on British-Ukrainian Defense Cooperation in Kyiv, underscores the UK's commitment as one of Ukraine's most steadfast allies. Umerov expressed gratitude to the people and government of the UK for their comprehensive support.
Calling on representatives of dozens of British companies participating in the forum, the Minister of Defense urged them to invest in Ukraine and establish joint ventures for shared future victories.
The Minister for Strategic Industries Olexander Kamishin noted that the UK was the first country to sign a Security Cooperation Agreement with Ukraine, and British defense companies were the first to open offices in Ukraine following the onset of the conflict. He emphasized the progress of the partnership, highlighting the prospect of British manufacturers being the first to produce their weapons in Ukraine.
This new agreement serves as an effective mechanism to strengthen military cooperation, paving the way for even greater support from the UK and the utilization of the most advanced British technologies for Ukraine's defense.
