Russia has entered the third phase of a full-scale war in Ukraine and is preparing for a long-term battle.

This was announced on the air of the All-Ukrainian telethon by the adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Viktor Andrusiv.

Andrusiv noted that the first phase was an attempt to seize Ukraine "in a couple of days", the second - to carry out a large encirclement of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the east.

One encirclement was planned to be very large; they wanted to cut it off right from Pavlograd; the second encirclement was planned so that, together with Kramatorsk and Slavyansk, and now they are left with an extremely small encirclement - in fact, Severodonetsk and Lisichansk, but they cannot do this either

Viktor Andrusiv

He also noted that the invaders are beginning to prepare for the defense of the borders.

Now the third phase has come - when they begin to prepare to defend the lines where they stopped. This indicates that they have decided to turn the war into a very long one … They are counting on the crises that the war causes to put the West at the negotiating table with them, and the West will try to exchange us for something

Viktor Andrusiv
