More medical documents online — Ukraine joins the World Health Organization's Global Network of Digital Health Documents. Its main goal is to expand the use of digital health documents in the field of healthcare among participating countries.

Ukraine is also joining the Global Network, opening up new opportunities for the implementation and use of e-documents in healthcare. This is an important step for Ukraine, as it will allow the expansion of the list of digital medical documents that can be generated as easily as COVID certificates.

After Ukraine's accession to the WHO Global Network, nothing will change for Ukrainians who have COVID certificates in the Diia app. The digital document will continue to operate as before.

In total, Ukrainians have generated more than 12.2 million COVID certificates in Diia. They are recognized in the EU, so they can be used not only in Ukraine but also abroad. In addition, you can generate a COVID certificate in Diia if you were vaccinated abroad and a Ukrainian doctor entered this data into the eHealth system.

The transition of participating countries to the WHO Global Network and the transfer of the functionality of COVID certificates from the EU Trust Network to the WHO Global Network is currently underway.

It is worth noting that Ukraine was one of the first countries in the world whose COVID certificates were officially recognized in the EU's Diia app.

The accession, operation, and use of the WHO Global Network by Ukraine are being carried out jointly by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Digital Transformation.
