The Ministry of Defense has approved more than 20 types of light transport vehicles for use by the Ukrainian Defense Forces over the past six months.
These vehicles are designed for traversing rough terrain and performing tasks on water.
Among the new additions are buggies, motorcycles with electric and internal combustion engines, as well as four- and six-wheeled quad bikes and hexacopters.
Additionally, special watercraft, such as jet skis, have been codified for the needs of the defense units.
The defense department noted that only 7 types of such transport were added to the defense arsenal in 2023.
The list of codified samples includes products from well-known manufacturers of all-terrain light vehicles from the United States, Asia, and Europe.
The broad range of applications for these vehicles on the front lines is explained.
Light all-terrain vehicles are used for transporting personnel and cargo in conditions of challenging terrain and the absence of roads.
They can also be used for evacuating the wounded, logistical support for positions at the front, as well as for reconnaissance or as mobile fire points.
