NATO military leaders have confirmed their support for a just peace for Ukraine

The Chiefs of Defense of NATO member countries, during a virtual meeting on Wednesday, reaffirmed their priority of achieving a just and lasting peace in Ukraine.

NATO Military Committee Chair Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone announced this on the social network X.

“Great, candid discussion among NATO Chiefs of Defence, today. And excellent update on the security environment from our new SACEUR, his first with us.… On Ukraine, we confirmed our support. Priority continues to be a just, credible and durable peace.,” Dragone stated.

He also highlighted the “excellent security update” provided by General Alexis Grinkevich, the new Supreme Allied Commander Europe, who participated in such a meeting for the first time.

“I thanked everyone for their always proactive participation in these meetings: we are united, and that unity was truly tangible today, as always,” Admiral Dragone emphasized.

He added:

“Our thoughts remain with the 🇺🇦Ukrainian brave brothers and sisters in arms. We praise their relentless courage in defending their homeland.”
