Newly elected President of Romania Nicușor Dan will participate in the Ukraine–Southeast Europe Summit, which is taking place on June 11 in Odessa, Romania Insider reports.

This will be Dan’s first visit to Ukraine.

Romania’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on June 10 that the country’s delegation to the summit will also include Foreign Minister Emil Gurezeanu.

During his first press conference as president last week, Dan announced he would make an official visit to Moldova on June 10, followed immediately by his participation in the summit in Ukraine.

In a recent bilateral conversation with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Nicușor Dan reaffirmed Romania’s steadfast support for Ukraine and stated that specific future assistance Romania can offer will be discussed in more detail during the Odessa summit.
