According to the expert, it is most likely that the Russians will continue to use all their strength to capture the Donetsk region.
Military expert Oleg Zhdanov told in which direction a new Russian offensive could take place, the possibility of which is being written by Western media.
He said this in an interview with TSN.ua.
Kharkiv direction
Zhdanov explained that to advance on Kharkiv, the Russians needed to create a strike force of 40 thousand or more people in the Belgorod region.
"They have personnel. They carry them from one end of Russia to the other. The point is what they should ride: on trucks or tanks. If on tanks, then on which - on Soviet T-72, T-80 This will be a huge difference from the group that invaded Ukraine in February 2022," the expert says.
Zaporizhzhia direction
Zhdanov noted that, according to Western intelligence, they say that in the Zaporizhzhia direction, the Russian Federation is intensively digging trenches, building a line of defense, but not creating a strike direction.
"They are accumulating reserves, personnel to go into a deep, stable defense. They are terrified of our counteroffensive there," the military expert emphasized.
Donetsk direction
The Donetsk direction is the most promising for the Russian Federation, Zhdanov believes.
"Firstly, this is a political task - capturing the entire Donetsk region. An economic task is imposed here - gas and lithium deposits. And there, they still have an offensive pace. The transfer of reserves and an increase in the offensive pace is most likely in the Donetsk direction," he summed up.
