The Russians are actively advancing and increasing their efforts in the area near Kupyansk Forest. However, they were forced to halt their advance in the Yagidne - Kupyansk-Vuzlovyy sector due to significant losses.
This information was reported by the Commander of the Ground Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi.
"In the Yagidne - Kupyansk-Vuzlovyy sector, the enemy has suffered significant losses, ceased active operations, and is currently regrouping," he wrote.
According to him, the 6th Combined Arms Army and the 1st Tank Army of the Russian Federation continue their offensive actions in the Kupyansk Forest, Pershotravneve, and Orlyanske areas. They are increasing their efforts to capture dominant heights, take control of Synkivka, and create favorable conditions for capturing Kupyansk.
Syrskyi noted that in the last week on the Kupyansk direction, the losses of the occupiers amounted to 583 personnel, including 220 killed, 358 wounded, and 5 Russian military personnel captured.
