First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska arrived in Copenhagen to participate in the second Ukraine Investment Forum. The event will focus on specific opportunities for Danish companies to invest and cooperate with Ukrainian businesses.

In her welcome speech, the President's wife thanked the Kingdom of Denmark, its government and companies for their strong support of Ukraine.

"Denmark ranks second in the world in terms of military aid as a percentage of GDP. Ukraine knows and appreciates this. On your part, this is not only support for Ukraine. It is much more –  it is a contribution to the defense of the whole world," Olena Zelenska emphasized.

She also emphasized the importance of establishing a Ukraine Support Fund, contributions to rebuilding our country's energy infrastructure, and Denmark's participation in the recovery of the Mykolaiv region.

"As you know, after President Zelenskyy's appeal, Denmark took patronage of the reconstruction of this region, and a branch of the Danish embassy opened there three months ago. You have taken on a very difficult challenge, as dozens of Russian missiles are targeting the Mykolaiv region every day, without a break. Mykolaiv residents are impressed by this global approach: Denmark purifies water, purchases utility and medical equipment, repairs buildings, brings in equipment – from city buses to excavators, and demines fields," the First Lady said.

She expressed special gratitude to the Danish companies and philanthropists already cooperating with the projects of the Olena Zelenska Foundation. The President's wife noted that the reconstruction of the destroyed hospital in the de-occupied city of Izyum had begun with the participation of Denmark.

Olena Zelenska also thanked the Danish companies for their principled position not to do business in Russia.

"You set an important example that human values are still more important than money. I invite everyone who has left the Russian market to come to Ukraine," she said.

More than 100 Danish companies have confirmed their participation in the event. Among them are both those already operating in Ukraine and those actively seeking opportunities to enter the Ukrainian market, in particular to implement projects on recovery.
