Vladimir Putin allowed the military and security officials who participated in the war in Ukraine not to declare their income, as well as officials sent to the "LPR", "DPR", Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions during the "special operation".

This is stated in the decree of the President of the Russian Federation, published on the Kremlin website. As stated in the document, the decree is adopted "in order to implement a unified state policy in the field of combating corruption."

It is not uncommon for investigative journalists to examine officials' declarations of income in order to reveal facts of corruption. In addition, declarations are collected on its portal by the "Declarator" project, launched by "Transparency International - Russia".

Also, canceled the rule on the publication on the Internet and the media declarations of officials on income and expenses. Putin issued a decree on payments of 3 million rubles to civilians seconded to the "new regions" in case of their injury and 5 million to their families in case of death.
