The wife of Kyrylo Budanov, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, has been poisoned. Marianna Budanova is in the hospital.
RBC-Ukraine reported this information, citing a source in the special services. According to the source, after a prolonged deterioration in the health of the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate's wife, she was hospitalized. The course of treatment is now coming to an end, and Marianna will be under the supervision of doctors.
The source specified that the woman has been diagnosed with heavy metal poisoning. Such substances are not used in everyday life or military affairs. Therefore, their use may indicate the possibility of an attempted poisoning.
The source adds that it is currently unknown whether this was a one-time poisoning, or if Marianna was poisoned over some time. An investigation is underway into the possible attempted murder of the wife of the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense.
