Russian troops legalized looting in the occupied Ukrainian territories to solve problems with logistics and communications in this way, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
In connection with an unsuccessful attempt to conduct a brilliant offensive, the invaders are forced to change tactics. Due to significant logistical problems and lengthy communications, they are not able to properly provide their units with fuel, food, equipment, ammunition, and rotate
The GUR notes that now the main task of the invaders is to gain a foothold in positions, hiding behind the civilian population. At the same time, Russian troops were cut off from supplies and were ordered to switch to âself-sufficiencyâ.
âThat is, to take everything they need from the local population and rob warehouses, shops, pharmacies,â the Russian GUR order explains.
The agency recalls numerous videos where the occupiers loot in the occupied territories. The GUR also emphasizes that these are not the only crimes of the Russian troops in Ukraine: the invaders commit murders, torture and rape, including minors.
This is a targeted terror policy of the occupying state, encouraged by its top leadership. All crimes of the invaders are recorded, and those who do them are known. And retribution will be inevitable
Earlier, the General Staff reported that the Russian invaders in Ukraine were demoralized and engaged in looting in temporarily occupied territories. In the Kharkiv, Sumy, Chernihiv and Kyiv regions, the facts of robberies, violent actions against residents, and the seizure of civilian premises are widely recorded.
