On the night of May 18, Russian forces attacked two energy facilities in Ukraine. One of them was in the Poltava region.
This was reported by Ukrenergo and the head of the Poltava Regional State Administration, Filip Pronin, on Telegram.
Ukrenergo reported that objects of the energy infrastructure in the eastern and central regions were attacked. No one was injured as a result of the attack.
According to energy officials, consumers were not deprived of electricity due to the overnight shelling. Emergency restoration work is ongoing.
The head of the Poltava Regional State Administration clarified that Russian drones damaged the energy infrastructure in one of the region's districts.
On the night of May 18, an air raid alert was declared in several regions of Ukraine due to the launch of enemy kamikaze drones.
Later, the Ukrainian Air Force reported that Russia had launched 13 attack drones against Ukraine. The air defense forces of Ukraine destroyed all the Shaheds. As military note, air defense worked in five regions - Kharkiv, Poltava, Vinnytsia, Mykolaiv, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
