The Russians have introduced a remotely controlled machine gun turret named "Chapay," which resembles the Ukrainian turret "Shablia."

According to Defence Express, the Russian development was first showcased at the Army-2024 defense forum in Moscow. The project was presented by the investment fund "Era," which finances Russian weapon developers.

Photos from the exhibition reveal that the Russian design closely mirrors both the concept and implementation of the Ukrainian "Shablia" turret, which has been in use on the front lines by the Ukrainian Armed Forces since September of last year.
