Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 105 kamikaze drones during the night of October 3, with Ukrainian air defenses shooting down 78 of them.

This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force, which stated,

"During the night, enemy UAVs struck various regions of Ukraine. In total, the Air Force detected and tracked 105  'Shahed' drones."

The drones were launched from multiple locations, including Orel, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Kursk, and the Chauda cape in Crimea.

Ukrainian defense forces, including aviation, missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire teams, repelled the attack, shooting down drones over Kyiv, Cherkasy, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Poltava, Chernihiv, Kherson, Odesa, Kharkiv, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Rivne, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.

One drone flew toward Belarus, while 23 drones were lost in different areas, likely due to active electronic warfare measures. Further details are being clarified.
