The number of casualties from the Russian strike on Kharkiv has increased to at least eight people.

This information is reported by the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Oleg Synegubov.

The head of the regional prosecutor's office, Oleksandr Filchakov, informed that the number of casualties has risen to nine individuals.

"Preliminarily, a woman with a fractured thigh is in serious condition, while the others have milder injuries," Filchakov stated.

Oleg Synegubov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, wrote that the number of wounded individuals is eight.

"The number of wounded has increased to eight. The condition of three hospitalized individuals is assessed as moderate by medical professionals. Others affected show acute stress reactions, and their condition is mild," Synegubov noted.

On January 23, the Russians shelled Kharkiv three times a day. The last strike occurred after 10 PM. According to Synegubov, the attacks targeted the Kyiv district of the city.

Residential buildings, civilian infrastructure, and a scientific institution have been damaged. Incidents have also been recorded in the Kholodnyi Yar district. According to preliminary information, the Russian forces targeted the city with S-300 missiles from the territory of the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation.
