Over the past day, a series of Russian military strikes have inflicted significant harm on civilian populations and infrastructure across Ukraine, with casualties reported in several regions.
Kherson Region
Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional State Administration, reported via Telegram that one person was killed and five others wounded due to ongoing Russian aggression. Multiple settlements—including Antonivka, Beryslav, Bilozerka, Vesele, Havrylivka, Dniprovske, Mykilske, Novodmytrivka, Novoraisk, Tokarivka, Chornobaivka, and the city of Kherson—came under sustained drone attacks, artillery shelling, and airstrikes.
The assaults damaged 10 apartment buildings, 44 private homes, a gas pipeline, and numerous vehicles, compounding the toll on the local population and infrastructure.
"Early this morning, the Russians took the life of a resident of Kherson region. Around 6:00 AM, the enemy shelled Antonivka with artillery, causing fatal injuries to a man born in 1979. My condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased," Oleksandr Prokudin said.
Dnipropetrovsk Region
In the Nikopol district, three civilians—a 4-month-old baby girl and two women aged 40 and 46—were injured during Russian strikes, according to Serhii Lysak, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration. The attacks targeted the communities of Nikopol, Marhanets, Myriv, and Pokrov, involving FPV drones, UAV-dropped munitions, and artillery fire.
The child remains in serious condition, while the women are reported to be moderately injured. Additionally, shelling damaged a transport company in Marhanets.
Donetsk Region
Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, confirmed on August 3 that two residents of Dobropillia and Kostiantynivka lost their lives due to Russian attacks, with five others injured. Since the onset of hostilities, Donetsk region has endured 3,393 deaths and 7,751 injuries, excluding figures from Mariupol and Volnovakha.
Kyiv Region
Mykola Kalashnyk, head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, reported a Russian drone strike on the Boryspil district, resulting in damage to six private homes. The attack triggered an air raid alert across all seven districts of the region. Ukrainian air defense units engaged enemy drones and successfully intercepted multiple targets, preventing casualties and damage to critical infrastructure.
Sumy Region
The Sumy Regional Military Administration revealed that Russian forces conducted 100 strikes on 38 settlements within 17 communities between August 3 and 4. The hardest-hit areas were Sumy, Konotop, and Shostka districts.
Russian forces used a range of weapons including guided aerial bombs, multiple rocket launchers, and UAVs deploying VOG grenades. Damage was reported to homes, vehicles, farm buildings, and civil infrastructure in communities such as Buryn, Putyvl, Novoslobidka, Bilopillia, Mykolaiv, and Myropil.
Despite the intensity of attacks, no civilian casualties were reported. The region experienced a prolonged air raid alert lasting over 18 hours.
Zaporizhzhia Region
Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, reported 405 strikes across 10 settlements within the region. Three people were killed in an attack on the Stepnohirsk community.
Russian forces launched an airstrike on Bilohirya, deployed nearly 300 drones (mainly FPV types) against multiple locations including Kamianske, Huliaipole, Orikhiv, and others, and carried out multiple rocket launcher and artillery strikes in Stepnohirsk and surrounding areas.
The bombardment caused damage to apartments, non-residential buildings, communication infrastructure, private houses, and vehicles.
