Russian forces in the Kherson region are increasingly engaging in acts of sabotage to avoid participating in assaults on the islands in the Dnipro Delta.

This was reported by ATESH.

According to an agent from the partisan resistance movement ATESH, Russian soldiers deliberately damage their watercraft, puncturing inflatable boats and breaking motors.

Additionally, they have been providing Ukrainian Defense Forces with the coordinates of Russian bases and locations where fuel supplies are stored.

It is noted that the 126th Separate Coastal Defense Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces has already initiated three internal investigations into acts of sabotage. This has become a significant issue for the Russian command, as it undermines the combat capability of units operating in a strategically important area.

The partisan resistance movement ATESH encourages other Russian soldiers to follow the example of their comrades, emphasizing that such actions could actually save their lives.

Members of the movement point out that the island terrain in the Dnipro Delta is extremely dangerous for assault forces, and following the orders of the command often amounts to a death sentence.

As of December 2024, Russian military losses in the war against Ukraine remain staggering.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russia’s total losses in the war have exceeded 700,000 personnel, including those killed and wounded.
