The Russian forces has started using new anti-personnel mines on the Kharkiv front.
The press service of the Kharkiv operational-tactical group reported this.
According to information from the OTG, these are pressure-triggered mines with a 3D-printed casing containing a detonator and a plastic explosive charge.
In terms of size and functioning, the new mines are similar to the banned PFM-1 Lepestok mines. Their small size and unpredictable nature make them extremely treacherous.
There is currently no reliable information on the scalability of these mines' production in Russia.
OTG Kharkiv suggests that this could be the result of private initiatives by certain manufacturers.
Despite their relatively simple construction, these mines pose a serious threat to the lives of our defenders.
"In light of this new danger, we urge increased caution in combat zones and liberated territories," the statement emphasized.
