The intercepted documents testify to the plans of the invaders to involve local residents aged 13 to 17 in pseudo-voting.

The occupiers plan to expand the "electoral base" to support the annexation of Ukrainian territories to the Russian Federation, attracting children to vote in a pseudo-referendum.

This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine, which refers to the intercepted documents of the terrorist organization "DPR".

It is noted that these documents regulate the involvement of underage citizens in participating in the fake referendum of the Russian Federation in the temporarily occupied territory of the Donetsk region.

“The invaders hope to expand the “electoral base” to support the annexation of part of the east of Ukraine to the Russian Federation and to involve local residents aged 13 to 17 in pseudo-voting. In order to tighten control over "turnout", minors should be accompanied to the "polling stations" by their parents, guardians or representatives of the so-called "orphanages". And for the "cheat indicators" they plan to involve families from the Donetsk region who have local registration, but left for the Russian Federation," the SBU informs.

It is reported that the so-called "central election commission of the DPR" was instructed to make appropriate changes to the "electoral process".

The SBU identified all the organizers, established their whereabouts, and documented the crimes.

  • On September 23-27, the Russian occupiers plan to hold pseudo-referenda in the captured parts of Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk and Lugansk regions to join the Russian Federation.
  • The European Union promised to introduce new sanctions against the Russian Federation because of the intention to hold a so-called "referendum" in the occupied territories of Ukraine.
