The competent authorities of Ukraine and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have agreed on a certificate for products exported from Ukraine derived from aquatic animals (caviar, seafood, etc.). This form of certificate comes into force on December 1, 2021.
The approval of the certificate was the result of work carried out by diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and specialists of the State Food and Consumer Service with colleagues from the CSR.
The market of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is extremely important for Ukraine. Every year our exporters get more and more opportunities on it. This applies to producers of meat, milk, honey, eggs. Now Ukrainian producers have the desirable opportunity to export products derived from aquatic animals to the Kingdom. Specifically, we expect to export Ukrainian-made black caviar to Saudi Arabia.
Vladyslava Magaletska, Head of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection
In accordance with the procedure established by the competent CSR body, potential exporters must undergo an accreditation procedure to acquire the right to export products for human consumption.
Guidelines and explanations for food exports to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are published on the official web portal of the State Food and Consumer Services in the section "International Cooperation" - "Veterinary and Safety" - "Requirements of the world" - "Reference information on exports to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia."
