State Bureau of Investigation investigators reported the suspicion of a former law enforcement officer from Luhansk in collaborationism (in absentia). The traitor holds the position of "Prosecutor General" of the so-called Luhansk People's Republic and authorizes criminal decisions against Ukrainian citizens.
State Bureau of Investigation officers found that the suspect voluntarily agreed to the occupiers' offer to take the illegal position of "prosecutor general" of the terrorist organization.
After the full-scale invasion of the Russian armed forces, he actively supports the armed aggression against Ukraine. The collaborator conducts public briefings and awards for employees of the "LPR Prosecutor's Office".
Currently, the former law enforcement officer is suspected of voluntarily holding a position in illegal law enforcement agencies established in the temporarily occupied territory (Part 7 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for up to 15 years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to 15 years.
The pre-trial investigation is underway. The Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office provides procedural guidance.
