Russian armed forces continued to attack cities throughout Ukraine into Tuesday morning, October 11, according to local officials in the Vinnytsia, Mykolaiv, Odessa and Zaporizhzhia regions.


Ukraine’s southern air command reported that on Monday night and Tuesday morning, five Iranian-made “kamikaze” drones were intercepted by Ukrainian air defense forces in the Mykolaiv region, while three were shot down in the Odessa region.

Explosions occurred also in the central-western Ukrainian region of Vinnytsia, after air raid alerts went off throughout the country.

In addition, Russian forces carried out a missile strike on Zaporizhzhia, as reported by the regional governor Oleksandr Starukh. The strike targeted infrastructures, though Starukh did not give further details`.

According to the local official Anatoly Kurtev, the strike damaged a school, a hospital, and multiple residential buildings. The Ukrainian posted pictures of the strike site on Telegram.
