The number of casualties as a result of the shelling of Odessa with cluster munitions on April 29 has risen to 6.
This was reported by the Mayor of Odessa, Gennadiy Trukhanov.
"Unfortunately, today a man passed away in the hospital, whom doctors fought for until the very end. My sincere condolences to his family," Trukhanov wrote.
During the shelling of the city, a fire broke out in the Palace of Students of the Odesa Law Academy. In particular, as the head of the Center for Strategic Communications of the Southern Defense Forces, Dmytro Pletenchuk, explained, the terrorists used rockets with shrapnel for the attacks.
As of April 30, according to the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleg Kiper, 23 injured individuals were undergoing treatment in medical facilities.
Later, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, Andriy Kostin, confirmed information regarding the terrorists' use of cluster munitions. According to him, metal fragments and rocket debris were found within a radius of 1.5 kilometers.
