The new government of Slovakia, on Wednesday, decided to block the allocation of another package of military aid to Ukraine, totaling over 40 million euros.

"The former leadership of the Slovak Ministry of Defense had prepared a proposal to provide Ukraine with the 14th package of military assistance, totaling over 40 million euros, but the new government under Robert Fico did not approve the provision of this aid," as reported by Slovak television.

According to reports, the total amount of aid provided by Slovakia to Ukraine, as of today, has exceeded 670 million euros.

The new government of Slovakia, led by the leader of the "Direction - Social Democracy" party, Robert Fico, began working at the end of October. Fico is known as a politician who opposes the continuation of arms supplies to Ukraine.
