Spain expects to train up to 4,000 Ukrainian military personnel on its territory, according to a statement by the country's Defense Minister, Margarita Robles.
She mentioned, "We are working on training in Toledo and other Spanish cities. Approximately 2,000 Ukrainian soldiers are already undergoing training in Spain. We aim to eventually train up to 4,000."
At the end of August, the European Union's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, stated that the EU should strive to reach a target of training 40,000 Ukrainian military personnel in Europe by the end of the year.
