New SSU Special Operation: drones hit 5 Russian fighter jets at Saky airbase, one fully destroyed

Overnight, drones operated by the Alpha Special Operations Center of the Security Service of Ukraine carried out a successful strike on the Russian military airfield “Saky” in occupied Crimea. This base is a key hub for Russian air operations over the Black Sea.

As a result of the operation, one Su-30SM fighter jet was completely destroyed and another severely damaged. Three Su-24 aircraft were also hit.

The enemy suffered significant losses, with a single Su-30SM jet estimated to cost between $35 and $50 million. In addition to the damaged aircraft, a warehouse storing aviation munitions at the airbase was also targeted and hit.

"This successful SSU operation is another strategic blow aimed at weakening Russia’s ability to wage war against Ukraine. Ukrainian officials stressed that the occupiers must remember: they will never be safe on Ukrainian soil," reads the message.

The General Staff has confirmed the strike on the fuel and refueling facility at Sochi Airport. A large fire broke out at the site.

It is known that Russian forces also stationed military aviation at the airfield.
