The Security Service of Ukraine has arrested four more pro-Russian agitators in various regions of Ukraine. These individuals publicly praised Putin and justified Russia's armed aggression. They also called for the seizure of power in our country and glorified the war crimes of the Russian invaders.
In Vinnytsia region:
A local hacker was detained, who, using computer programs, created a fake "video appeal" from one of the former high-ranking officials of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and spread it on the social media platform TikTok.
In this "speech," provocative calls were made for the violent seizure of Ukrainian government institutions and mass unrest in the capital. Thus, the perpetrator attempted to destabilize the socio-political situation in Kyiv and other regions of our state.
In Kyiv region:
A former deputy of the Fastiv City Council from the banned party Opposition Platform - For Life was arrested. According to the investigation, he positioned himself as an "expert-political scientist" and published Kremlin narratives about the aggressive war against Ukraine on his own video blog.
It was established that the former deputy "supported" his statements with quotes from Putin's speeches on Russian television. To spread hostile content, the perpetrator used his YouTube channel, as well as pages on Telegram, TikTok, and Instagram with a total audience of over half a million users.
In the Ivano-Frankivsk region:
SSU cyber experts exposed a supporter of Russian State Duma deputy Leonid Slutsky, the leader of the pro-Kremlin LDPR party. The suspect shared public speeches of the Russian official on his page on the social network "Odnoklassniki" in support of the aggressive war against Ukraine.
Among the published "quotes" were Slutsky's calls for a renewed offensive on Kherson and the capture of the entire territory of our state.
In Donetsk region:
SSU cyber experts arrested a resident of Kramatorsk, an ideological supporter of Russian imperialism. On Russian social networks, the perpetrator justified the seizure of parts of the eastern regions of Ukraine and glorified Russian forces.
Currently, the SSU investigators have informed the suspects about the suspicion under Articles 436-2 (justification, recognition as lawful, denial of Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine, glorification of its participants) and 109 (actions aimed at violent change or overthrow of the constitutional order or seizure of state power) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The criminal actions of the agitator from Vinnytsia region are additionally qualified under Article 109 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (actions aimed at violent change or overthrow of the constitutional order or seizure of state power).
Comprehensive measures were carried out by SSU employees in Kyiv and Kyiv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Donetsk, Luhansk, and Vinnytsia regions under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor's offices.
