The United States will continue to assist Ukraine, as it is in their national security interest. This was reported by NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg.
When asked about American aid to Ukraine and the debates on this issue in the U.S. Congress, Stoltenberg responded that it is crucial for all allies to continue adhering to the decisions jointly made at the Vilnius Summit.
"All heads of state and government, all NATO allies have pledged to support Ukraine not only because President Putin's victory would be a tragedy for Ukrainians but also because it would be dangerous for us," the Secretary-General said.
He added that the idea is that when authoritarian leaders use military force, violate international law, invade another country, they get what they want, making the world more dangerous and NATO members more vulnerable.
He believes that in the interest of national security for all NATO allies, including the United States, it is crucial to prevent the victory of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin in Ukraine.
"And so, I am confident that the United States will continue to provide support to Ukraine," Stoltenberg stated.
He noted Germany's actions, which made new important statements about increasing support for Ukraine just a few days ago. According to him, other allies have also announced additional support. Therefore, he believes that the increase in assistance will continue.
