Sweden has signed an agreement with the ammunition manufacturer Nammo to increase the production capacity of artillery ammunition in the country.
This information was reported by the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV).
The agreement aims to increase the supply of 155mm artillery ammunition and strengthen the reliability of deliveries.
"We are now taking the next important step to accelerate investments in the industry's production capacity. This will shorten delivery times, enhance our ability to support Ukraine, and at the same time, strengthen the reliability of artillery ammunition deliveries in Sweden and the Northern region in the long term," said Jonas Lotsne, the head of the armaments department at FMV.
It is emphasized that this initiative is the third step in comprehensive efforts to increase the production of artillery ammunition and ensure further support for Ukraine.
