Ukraine has managed to take control of 74 settlements in the Kursk region, with advances by the Ukrainian Armed Forces continuing.

This information comes from a report by Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi to President Volodymyr Zelensky.

The President mentioned that he remains in constant contact with Syrskyi, who provides updates on the front situation and the Ukrainian operation in the Kursk region.

As reported by Syrskyi to President Zelensky, Ukrainian defenders have advanced between 1 to 3 kilometers on certain fronts in the Kursk region today. A 40-square-kilometer area has been brought under control.

"Today, 74 settlements are under our control. Fighting is ongoing along the entire front line. Despite the high intensity of combat, the situation is under control. We continue with the operation," stated the Commander-in-Chief.

In turn, the President expressed gratitude to the Ukrainian military for their efforts, noting that their actions are contributing to the "exchange fund," which will facilitate prisoner exchanges.
