Russian tanks passed through Nikolaev with gunfire. The city is not lost; the territorial defense gave battle.
It is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the message of the head of the Nikolaev Regional State Administration Vitaly Kim in Telegram.
The air raid began at 2pm. Explosions are heard throughout the city. Mykolaiv residents are asked to be in shelters and not to walk the streets.
Despite the long-awaited silence, at 19:20 the explosions continued.
"I'm alive! They didn't attack us. They went around, but they were in the city. The tanks passed through the city with shooting. They are retreating; ours (territorial defense) are catching up with them," he wrote.
Kim later clarified that the territorial defense continued to defend the city. The defenders are waiting for the support of the Armed Forces.
Now the information is spreading that water supply will be provided according to the schedule in Nikolaev.
