On the night of March 18, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with Shahed strike drones. The defense forces destroyed 17 drones.

This information was reported by the Telegram channel of the Ukrainian Air Force.

During the night, the Russians launched five guided anti-aircraft missiles S-300/S-400 in the Kharkiv region, two guided aviation missiles Kh-59 in the Sumy region, and 22 Shahed strike UAVs. The launch areas for the drones were in Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Russia.

"Zenith missile units of the Air Force and Ground Forces, mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, and electronic warfare means were involved in repelling the aerial attack," the Air Force reported.

As a result of the combat operations, 17 Shahed drones were shot down within the territories of Kyiv, Poltava, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Vinnytsia, Zaporizhzhia, and Rivne regions.
