Serhiy Hnatyuk, Vice-Rector for Research at the National Aviation University (NAU), discussed the implementation of dual education at the university, combining academic learning with practical training at companies. NAU plans to establish dual education with the Turkish drone developer Bayraktar.
"The best students are expected to intern in Turkey at Baykar's headquarters," Hnatyuk stated in an interview with TSN.
The Ukrainian university already has dual education programs with DTEK.
"The blackout periods highlighted the relevance of energy management and similar technologies," explained the Vice-Rector.
Additionally, NAU collaborates with the National Coordination Center for Cybersecurity under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC).
According to Hnatyuk, the most popular specialties at NAU are currently cybersecurity, software engineering, and management.
"We hope more students will pursue aviation-related specialties, as well as those related to unmanned systems, energy management, communication, and telecommunications. These fields are crucial for us to succeed in the war against the aggressor," added the NAU Vice-Rector.
