In the Domanyivska community of the Mykolaiv region, Danish partners, with the support of GAUFonden and Ramboll foundations, are building social housing. Two houses have already been completed, and preparations are underway for the construction of six more.

Vitalii Kim, head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, shared this on Telegram.

“In the Domanyivska community, Danish partners have built social housing—two houses are ready, and six more are being prepared for construction. The project was implemented with the support of GAUFonden and Ramboll foundations and the Embassy of Denmark in Ukraine. These homes are intended for medical workers, police officers, people without housing, or those who have relocated to the community from other areas,” Kim wrote.

According to him, the houses are of very high quality, and the results are excellent. Locals have already nicknamed the neighborhood with the new houses "Little Copenhagen."

A total of 25 such houses are planned across the Mykolaiv region.

Additionally, Danish partners from the UNOPS fund are helping establish a fuel pellet production facility in the Domanyivska community. This initiative aims to address the region's energy independence, promote the efficient use of local resources, and create jobs.

“Since the start of the full-scale invasion, Mykolaiv has received €151 million in aid from the Kingdom of Denmark. We are grateful to our partners and continue to work together,” Kim added.
