Ukrainian military shot down 35 out of 39 "Shahed" attack drones used by Russian army for aerial strikes on our country's territory on the night of March 10.
This was reported by the commander of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Mykola Oleshchuk, and the Telegram command of the Armed Forces.
The general thanked "everyone who ensured the result!"
As clarified by the Armed Forces, in addition to the 39 "Shahed" drones, the Russians also launched 4 S-300 surface-to-air guided missiles at Ukraine, striking the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions.
Regarding the attack drones, the enemy launched them from Cape Chauda in occupied Crimea and from the Russian Primorsko-Akhtarsk.
It is noted that the combat operations to shoot down enemy kamikaze drones took place in ten regions overnight.
"As a result of combat operations, 35 'Shakhed' drones were shot down within the Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Cherkasy, Odessa, Kherson, Khmelnytsky, Vinnytsia, Kyiv, and Zhytomyr regions," the sky defenders noted.
The military added that most of the targets were destroyed by the forces and means of mobile fire groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Fighter aviation, anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force, and electronic warfare means were also involved in repelling the air attack.
