The Freedom of Russia Legion (LSR), which supports Ukraine in the war against Russian forces, has called on local residents of Kursk region to share information about Russian military equipment.
According to a Telegram update from LSR, there has been no repeat of the "Bucha scenario" in the 800 square kilometers of liberated Russian territory. Local residents are no longer found lying cold by the roads but are instead writing petitions to Vladimir Putin asking for help.
The legion emphasizes that the Kremlin will not assist the local residents of Kursk Oblast, as it did with the populations of Belgorod, Orsk, Buryatia, and other regions.
"We can help. Follow the example of TASS (the Russian propaganda outlet), which recorded the movement of equipment: send information about locations, movements of equipment, and any other information you have," the LSR added.
Such information can be sent through the legion's secure and anonymous reconnaissance forms or through the official Telegram bot.
It is noted that combat operations began in Kursk region this week, with the Russian Ministry of Defense and FSB complaining about a "border breach" allegedly organized by Ukrainian defenders.
Ukrainian officials have yet to comment on the situation in the Russian region.
Some residents of border settlements in Kursk region have been evacuated, with local authorities reportedly not assisting them in leaving dangerous areas.
