In Istanbul, they agreed to continue the work of the "grain deal" for the export of food from three Ukrainian seaports for another 120 days.

According to Infrastructure Minister Alexander Kubrakov, the UN and Turkey remained the guarantors of implementing the "grain initiative".

In addition, Kubrakov said, Ukraine has officially turned to partners as part of the initiative with a proposal to extend it for at least a year and involve the port of Mykolaiv in it. "We are waiting for official statements from the leaders of the United Nations and Türkiye," the minister specified.

"Since August 1, when the Black Sea Grain Initiative started, Ukraine has exported more than 11 million tons of agricultural products to 38 countries around the world. This is a significant amount, but not enough. The world market cannot replace Ukrainian agricultural products in the near future. At the same time, it is possible to increase the amount of our food for the world."

Kubrakov noted the importance of ensuring the effective work of the joint coordination center, so the Ukrainian side made its proposals to solve the existing problems.

"We have to fully utilize all the available export potential of our ports so that the world quickly receives the necessary amounts of food," the minister said.
