Previously, they worked on a similar project in Busan.

On August 23rd, K-water was selected as the executor of the project "Development of the Master Plan for the Smart City of Uman, Ukraine", which is part of the K-City Network projects under the supervision of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport and the Korean Corporation for Overseas Infrastructure and City Development.

This initiative, defined by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport in June, is one of several K-City Network projects planned until 2023. The main goal is to leverage Uman's tourism-oriented characteristics to create a master plan for sustainable and efficient development of the city's business components.

The project involves analyzing the conditions for development necessary to transform Uman into a "smart city", developing the master plan for the "smart city", securing financing, and inviting municipal officials for training. The project's implementation will begin with an initial meeting in September and is expected to be completed by April 2024.

Reportedly, this is the first similar service related to urban reconstruction commissioned by the Korean government. It is anticipated that K-water will actively apply its experience and knowledge in urban construction, accumulated from projects like the Eco Delta City Smart City – a "smart city" for the city of Busan, South Korea.
